Mossbar pure cane "Cane"
Mossbar Pure Cane or Cane is a yearling and the last foal out of our mare Splenda (Mossbar Shugar Cupid). Cane got a bit of a rough start as Splenda passed shortly after giving birth due to a post labor hemorrhage. After a trip to the vet's for plasma and IgG where Cane received a clean bill of health he has grown into an excellent performance prospect. Cane was bottle fed the first week and then bucket fed using a goat kid feeder. Many people have reservations about bottle babies which is understandable. Cane is respectful, friendly, and kind. With plenty of speed and athleticism Cane is looking for a performance home where he can excel as a rope or barrel horse. True to his bloodlines he will be a trainable horse with lots of go. He leads, trims, ties, and loads. He will be branded with the "lazy U, U" brand on his right shoulder prior to purchase. Buddy, 11 years old, Grade gelding, Sale pending
Buddy is an 11 year old grade gelding from Mossbar Quarter Horses. He is by Gotta Go To Rio and out of an unknown mare. We have had him since he was a yearling. Buddy stands 15.1 hands and weighs in around 1200 lbs. Buddy has a long smooth stride and is comfortable to ride at any gait. He is more go than whoa and is looking for a home where he will have a job everyday. He is not a project horse Buddy comes to you easy to catch, trim, load, saddle, and ride. He is too nice of a horse to be set on a back burner and so he is being offered for your consideration. He has been roped off of (breakaway, tie down roping, team roping on both ends). Buddy is fun to rope off of as he tracks and rates cattle well. He is however, hot in the box and does not sell as a finished rope horse. Buddy is safe for intermediate to experienced riders due to his big motor. He has been ridden in the back country and packed out elk. Carmi, grade yearling
Carmi is a sorrel grade yearling by Santiago Sugar out of Hady. More information on Hady can be found on the Mossbar Mares page. Carmi is flashy, gentle, and eager to learn. He leads, trims, loads, and ties. He is currently with another yearling who has made it his job to chew on Carmi extensively. (All marks are superficial). Carmi will make a great rope horse prospect that will get you noticed in the arena with his good looks and big stop. He will also be able to put in a hard days work on the ranch. Carmi's dam is running bred so Carmi will have plenty of speed with a good brain and lots of go. Carmi has an appointment on 07/02 to be gelded and will be branded at that time.
